Has anybody successfully replaced a single piece of laminate flooring in the middle of a room? We've got one that is damaged. It is the clicked type.

Yes I have.

And yes you do!

It really wasn't that bad, just carefully stack the boards in order and then replace in reverse order.

Unless you have fitted new skirting boards since laying the floor??

If so, then your screwed! :(

You can buy repair kits for laminate, it may be worth a try if it is a small chip?

Or buy a rug!

Good luck!

I have laminate flooring in my bedroom. I built my own bed into the bedroom, so if I end up knackering the floor then it will be a real job replacing it: disassemble bed, disassemble floor... Gagh

Yes the skirting has been fitted since. It is 2 pieces that have some water damage after a leak. Luckily it is in the door area, so I'm thinking of breaking them to get them out and then trying to knock the 2 new pieces in length ways after removing the door plate. If that doesn't look like it will work, I may try to remove the 'clicks' and glue in the 2 new pieces.
