Hi,
I have replaced the t58 ballast on a non working single fluorescent tube light and it is now working but as per heading there is no "socket" for the earth cable.
The original ballast had three sockets on the inlet side( live, neutral, earth) and four on the outlet side. The new one has three on the inlet side but one of those sockets (earth) has no metal connector to push the wire into. On the diagram just by the socket it shows this one as blank and the other two symbolled live and neutral and so I know it hasn't just fallen out.
As said everything works fine but I would like to find out where to put the earth to on the
light /ballast. In lay mans terms please)
Thanks for any advice in advance.
James

Attach the earth cable to the screw holding the ballast onto the gear tray

It relies on being screwed onto a metal fitting, that fitting is usually earthed, some ballasts have there own earth connection, but most dont
