Hi all,

I have a Eurothech/Galaxy Meteor Budget inset DFE gas fire. Unfortunatly, a kid has damaged the fire bed and rearranged the coals. I also do not have the manual and, to make things worse, I believe Eurotech no longer exist (certainly www.eurotech-fires.com doesn't work).

Does anybody have a manual, or know where I can get it from, for this make of fire? Could you also please tell me where I can get spares?

Any help is much apprieciated! :)

This company http://www.gas-fire.gb.com/eurdfe.htm sell that brand & if you need the preformed bed coals(intricate shaped type) they may be able to help. Alternatively if you are just wanting individual coals then google "replacement coals for gas fires" there are plenty of options. As far as setting them out is concerned then I am not sure that where you place them or how you arrange them is vitally important as long as there are gaps then the burning gas will find a way through. I should point out I am not a gas safe engineer but just speaking from experience & would bow to superior knowledge.

No you have to use the proper coals esigned for th actual fire.

I think it was clear that I was offering help with the link & an opinion on the matter rather than advice. I think my post was possibly more constructive than yours
