ALL ELECTRIC HOME

I have a 1970's system of ducted air heating central heating from a large storage heater located in a cupboard called "Envi-Warm". Last severe winter showed how ineffective this system was with heat quickly lost on opening doors etc., It operates on a restricted hours tariff.

There is no gas supply to the house.

What are the options to replace? As we are a pensioner household cost is a vital issue. Are slim line panel storage heaters a viable option?

I have emailed a query to British Gas re supply - still awaiting a reply.

Any help or unbiased advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does installing a gas supply cause a great deal of disruption and cost?

Are Government.Grants still means tested? We do not receive any Benefits as previous applications found we were (just!) outside the limits for help.

Help!

Ask Warmfront if they can help you.

There used to be a small grant of about £300 to convert from electric to a gas system.
