Hi,
I am new to these forums so please bear with me.
I have recently purchased a house with a Vokera Syntesi 25e boiler which has the timer module fitted and an external room thermostat (the old manual dial type), but the thermostat is not exactly accurate so I would like to replace it.
A few posts on here have recommended the Salus RT500rf, but as I am new to all this, I was wondering if this is a simple drop in replacement for the current external thermostat?
i'd assume where the old thermostat is wired to the boiler, it would simply be a case of removing the old one, and connecting a replacement one (such as the Salus RT500rf), then leaving the existing timer module in "always on" mode?
Is this assumption correct or is it a whole lot more involved than this?
Also, is the Salus RT500RF still a good option for this boiler, or are there some newer/better/easier to fit alternatives?
Any advice or suggestions gratefully received!!
