After a lot of helpful input on here into my broken shower it would appear that the element is most likely bust and I'm thinking it would be better to get a new one.
The shower was about 10 years old. I think it was a 8.5kw. Fastlec through Amazon sell the equivilent modern version for about £130. I note there are a lot of Triton ones for sale for less than half that price through the same retailer.
My question is - would it be easier re plumbing & electrics etc to replace like for like or can I go for a cheaper option? Im happy to drill a few holes but if it comes to plumbing and electrics beyond anything very basic I doubt I would be able to manage.
Cheers for any input/insight you can offer
