Hi Folks,

I have an IKEA light on which the transformer has died, and IKEA no longer stock the light and can't supply a replacement transformer. Under warranty I actually had two replacements from them and predictably it went just after the year.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? It plugs into the wall, and has a custom din like adaptor, but i'm happy to chop and splice onto a new wire.

On the back of the broken transformer it reads:-

Pri 220-240v ~ 50Hz 0.1A
Sec 11.5v ~ 10-20W

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Chris

If you have any small electrical shops in your area, that's where I'd go for advice, taking the gizmo along. You often find knowledgeable shopkeeps behind the counter in a smaller independent shop, as opposed to the unfortunates who find employment at B&Q and the like. If he disappears upstairs to rummage in long forgotten boxes, then reappears and takes out a stack of catalogues, you've found your man.
