Replacement wardrobe doors

I'm turning the space room into a nursery, I'm a complete diy novice and at present in the room there are wardrobe doors you can see in the picture, the wife hates them and so I need to replace them, does anyone have any ideas of the best and easiest way of doing this?

Failing that I will need to rip the whole thing out which I would rather not do as I suspect the walls behind will need to be skimmed over and my budget won't really let me do that. Thanks in advance.

Bi fold doors? Easy to install
Or even sliding doors.

If they are metric sizes you may be able to change for ikea doors. I've used some a a few bedrooms.
