Hi checked the past threads. I am repalcing a 2 way switch with a chrome one. Just wanted to know how to wire to the new switch. The existing switch has wires going to to the L1 L2 and com as well as a wire directly from L2 and com. Also the earth is currently directly connected to the metal box, do i need to change this and wire it to the new plug. Sorry for the number of questions...any help gratefully appreciated

Both switches have two triangles - but the present switch has one triangle upside down and the new switch both the same way up.

So before you take the wires out mark them -

Left COM
Left L1
Left L2

Right COM
Right L1
Right L2

Then just transfer them to the new switches.

Connect the earth wires to the new switch.
Either by moving all the wires or run another wire from back box to switch.

And then connect a flylead from the box earth terminal to the switch earth terminal.

Thanks for replying and with great detail...much appreciated!!
