I have concrete garage which has a single glazed fixed timber window to the side. The frame appears to have rotted. Where can I get a replacement window from - would a joiner be able to replace/repair the frame - only appears to be rotted from outside but I'm not sure if these windows have full casing?

Very basic frame , usually just oblong of square cut timber held in with a few metal plates .Easily replaced.

I did one of mine recently.

Undid the plates holding the old window in.

Measured up.

Made a frame out of an equivalent thickness timber.

Routed a 6mm channel in it to take the glass.

Made a U frame, slotted the glass in then put the final bit of the frame on.

Then put it in place and tightened the plates.

Job done.
