Replacing cooker and hob

Same old chestnut I'm afraid but I would really like help. My old appliances were wired directly together into a cooker socket to a switch on the wall to the consumer unit protected by a 30 amp fuse. Using 6mm cable. Not sure of the appliance ratings but no probs over 16 years.
My new appliances are rated as follows cooker 3.6kw, hob 6.8 kw. Can they be wired in as before. Using diversity I think it might just be OK. Your views would be grately appreciated.

3.6kW cooker = 15.65A

6.8kW hob = 29.56A if you apply diversity to the whole system you take the first 10A as given then its 30% of the rest i.e.

29.56+15.65 = bout 45A so its 10A + 30% of the rest =10 +( 35 * 0.3) = 20.5A
so your total is 20.5A which is fine for your 30A fuse and is ok for 6mm cable.

whatch out if everything is on at once as your fuse will probably blow. dont be tempted to put in a bigger fuse as it wont protect the 6mm cable. To cover the whole system switched on all at once you need 10mmsq cable

I live in Doncaster, work in Sheffield, my boss lives in Barnsley and is originally from Kent. Yet her accent is still as strong as ever. I sometimes find myself inserting R's into words, and pronouncing U as A, like her. Barrth = bath. fack = f***. etc. Why cant they talk proper like us northern folk?
