Replacing door lock 3 point to mortice

Hi All,

May be a stupid question but is it possible to replace a 3 point lock system with a 5 lever mortice without replacing the door.

I forever have problems with the 3 point locks and have future plans for an automated door lock which don’t tend to play nice with the 3 point locks (at least the ones that weren’t easily hacked).

Don’t know what the style of door would come under but it’s wood sandwiched between two sheets of aluminium.

Maybe a surface mounted night latch to British Standards for insurance purposes, like this.

Or you may be able to fit a slimline mortice lock, it depends on the thickness of your current door.
