i will be asking an electrician to install an electric hob, but wondered how it can be done.

i have an electric oven with thick cable direct to cooker socket. it will not plug into standard 13a socket like many modern ones do.

The gas hob had a 13a fused plug , but i have had gas safe man remove this.

the replacement hob requires a cooker socket connection.

question is, can both be connected to socket or do i need to replace oven with one which works on 13a plug.
