I am attempting to change the light switches within the hall, stairs and landing area of our house with brass plated ones.

Six of the current switches are single switches that have L1,L2,L3 and L4 wire connections. The only single switches I can find in Homebase/B&Q etc have only three connections (one on top and two below). A further switch is a two-gang switch at the top of the stairs that has six connections.

Am I right in thinking that the switches I need to replace the six are Intermediate switches. If so, can anyone suggest a good place on line to order polished brass switches of the sort I need.

I would grateful receive any advice more experienced DIYers could give me. Many thanks
