A friend has a narrow cylinder ( about 360mm diameter ) and there is only about 470 mm above the element.
A contractor from his emergency cover has refused to replace the element because of the restricted headroom.
Now I think that most manufacturers will allow a little bending when fitting a new element.
I have bent them a little myself where needs be to fit them.
What is the general view on this? Is the Contractor right to refuse or being a little shirky?
