Removing individual/grouped patterned tiles from kitchen. For replacements onto browning, reading mixed opinion on what use first - pva, primer, unibond, thin coat of plaster.

Is there common opinion on best option, and what to definitely not do? Example below, but fair few to do.

Thanks

primer, never pva
Thanks. Do I also need to skim over that once primed, before tiles?
Sorry if stupid questions, just new to me and not sure whether different needs for gaps rather than doing a whole wall.

No, if you skimmed the extra might make the new tiles proud of the existing, easier just to add a bit extra adhesive.

That's great, cheers.

Edit: worked well with just primed thanks.
