Hi
In the process of replacing kitchen doors, new doors have different hinge locations and new hinges use different screws.
The new fixing plate location is overlapping old plate's location, old holes are euros screws, new hinges use wood screws. Basically, need to fill cabinet holes which are on the way of the new fixing plates. Pls see pics below.
What's the best way? Would 2 part wood filler work? Or Dowel is the best option, what size dowels assuming standard hinge holes?
Thanks

Repair plates allow you to move mounting position.

I know this but this is repair kit when cabinet or door is damaged.

I used dowels for pro finish and worked very well, pics below, redundant holes will be caulked.

Tetrosil Stone fill is available as a clear 2 pack filler.

I use waterbased artist's paints in the filler to colour match. In your case the fact that you are not matching a uniform colour makes thing a tad more difficult.
