Hi, currently digging up an old tiled kitchen floor (+screed).

We have about 170mm-180mm of vertical space between the concrete slab and the bottom of the external doors. Planning to put in some dpm, insulation, chipboard, and a new engineered wood floor. Anything else to consider? Ive exposed the dpm under the external walls, how do I join this to the new dpm when I lay it?

As it will support a kitchen should we put wooden joists in for stability and insulate between or just float the floor on top the insulation? Is it worth considering UFH?

Thanks

OP,
Why not post pics of the work so far and a pic of the exterior at ground level?
Could you indicate the DPC in the wall?
