I have a Landis & Gyr RWB2 central heating timer and am considering replacing it with a Honeywell st9400c. Can anyone tell me for sure if the honeywell will plug straight onto the Landis backplate. If so, are there likely to be any problems with doing this? Finally if it is best to change the backplate are the terminals compatible ie 1 for 1, 2 for 2 etc.

Although it is an "Industry Standard" back plate, in reality there are diffrences and the Honeywell will need its own back plate however the wiring connections are the same so label them up ans swap em over it'll take about 10 mins !

Thanks Boilerman2, this just what I needed to know. I can do this so thanks again.
