Hi,

I have a Smeg sc336x oven and the oven light has gone.

I have two problems -
1) I can not loosen the light cover (top left in photo) by turning it anti-clockwise.
2) there is a metal grill I can not find a way to remove. With this in the way I can not take the cover off and get to the oven light.

I have enclosed a photo to help explain what I mean.

This video suggsts that there is just enough room.
To minimise scratches I would put electrical tape, or masking tape on the glass before using the adjustable mole grips (also known as water pump plyers).

Thanks, managed to oven light out at last with pliers and now ordered a Smeg replacement bulb.
