HI, hope someone can help. I am renovating the bathroom and need to replace the radiator. The old radiator has a twin entry valve on one side. This is the only twin entry valve in the house which has a combi-boiler. Can I connect the new radiator to the old valve or does it need to be replaced with a new valve either end and if so does the central heating system need to be drained down. Thanks for your help in advance.

You will need to drain down as removing a rad from that type of valve in-situ would be very difficult.
The twin valves have a long dip pipe from one connection on the valve running to the far end of the radiator, so lifting the rad off or putting a new one on without breaking or dislodging that pipe is practically impossible.
Bite the bullet and fit two valves to the new rad, those valves are very difficult to find these days and well overpriced should you get one.
