Hi, I am replacing my old Honeywell T6360B thermostat with a digital one, TH-7281H (Not Honeywell). I am having trouble getting a power on call. The thermostat has 6 terminals and I have 3 wires (R,Y,B). Connecting red and blue to terminals 6 & 4 gets the thermostat working, lights the readout and produces 26v at terminal 5, but when it calls for heat, I get no 240v at any of the other terminals. Can anyone assist me on this problem please? Be very grateful for any help, as I've been scratching my head for hours.

please take time to look at the diagram properly as it shows you the solution

looking at the wiring diagram it says you need 230v on terminal 3 and terminal 2 is the load all you have done is power the display at the moment.

Thank you Yorkspark.
So will terminal 3 also power the display or should I loop 6 & 3, as I only have one live wire.
Grateful, Mike

Yorkspark - why do you give people instructions to follow which you know they don't actually understand, and basically encourage them to do a sort of electricity-by-numbers job of inserting this wire into that hole without knowing why?

Do you really think that someone who has so little grasp of electrical wiring that they can look at this for hours:

and not see the representation of a switch, and not realise that they have to connect Line to terminal 3 should be fiddling with it?

Because I think it's lunacy.
