Hi guys

I have just looked at one of our upstairs window frames and the sealant has come right away from it. I suppose the sealant has been on a few years, and we only moved in in May.

I have some low modulus sealant but I was wondering the best way to neatly carry out the job. Do I just seal between the windown and frame or do I need to fill any recesses as well?

Many thanks
Stu

The sealant is there to prevent water ingress, so as long as the gap isn't huge, press on with the sealant. Apply a good thick bead and smooth it in with a wet finger.
If you spot a huge gap within, consider using expanding polyurethane foam from an aerosol can.
