Hi
I recently noticed that water was dripping out of this outlet when the toilet was flushed. I replaced the outlet but water is still seeping out every time the loo is flushed. The outlet has a 90 degree turn and then connects to the waste pipe. There does not seem to be much of a slope however, and as result the water is probably building up inside the pipe and 'looks' for any escape. Is there any other way that I can seal this joint - any help would be appreciated before I call the plumber which is probably what I should have done two days ago.
Many thanks in aticipation of your help / advice.

Thanks for the quick response. However I have no way of getting photos. Should I give more detail?

Thanks, thatts a great help. However the plot thickens. I am working on the problem at the moment and although I thought that the leak was around the outlet connector it seems that it may noy. I have noticed that water seems to be leaking from above the outlet connector and ronning down the back of the loo and around the outlet connector giving the impression that that is where it is coming from. I cannot see exactly where it is really coming from other than it is above the outlet connector and only leaks when the loo is flushed
Cheers

Is the cistern and pan connected or is there a white tube linking them?

If the former then you need to turn off and remove cistern to see where the leak is coming from - probably a knackered doughnut washer.

The cistern and pan are connected. I have probably upset something when I was jigging things around to connect the outlet pipe - resolved one problem and created another. How do I drain the system - cut off water supply and flush the loo?
Cheers
