Got an old Vaillant boiler that’s showing an F22 low pressure error message. Boiler doesn’t have a filling loop (boiler person has mentioned this before). Any ideas how I can repressurise it without a filling loop? Pic of the pipework attached. Cheers.
1. The filling loop may be elsewhere, e.g. under the kitchen sink?
2. Some Vaillants have a built in filling loop. Has two grey plastic handles, just underneath the boiler.
Sadly, no, it doesn’t have a filling loop (my boiler service man has even confirmed that (boiler is old)). No plastic handles, just the metal pipes pictured.
Boilers can lose pressure over time, causing the entire heating system to shut down. Read our guide to find out how to repressurise a combi boiler system.

The above covers repressurising boilers with no filling loop.
Last really old vaillant I attended had the filling loop next to a downstairs toilet. Cold water supply to the toilet and a radiator circuit next to each other. Boiler was 20 feet away.
