RESOLVED - Scantronic 9651 Beeping

Why oh why does it have to start as we are going to bed! Our
Scantronic 9651 is beeping away now. It was showing low battery alert earlier and I have ordered a new one however in the mean time I took the electrics panel cover off to access the battery and now the key pad has started beeping and I cannot for the life of me turn it off.

I have removed the battery and then killed the power to the alarm via the circuit breaker but that just set off the exterior alarm.

What to do?

uh maybe it's stopped after killing the power and inputting the pin, I ***** hope so!

Feel free to reply if you see this tonight as I might be getting up in half hour because it's started beeping again...
