Hi,
I have a casement window which opens outwards and is currently then locked into position with an old style casement stay. Unfortunately when opening the window it can sometimes get caught by the wind and fling open.
I'm trying to find a solution to effectively provide some resistance to the window opening so that the wind can't catch it. Have seen the sashloc and jackloc options - but they then restrict the opening of the window too much. Did wonder if one of those adjustable casement stays (something like http://www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/...nd_Fasteners/1087/Screw_Down_Adjustable_Stay) would provide friction on the stay so that it wouldn't fling open and could then be locked in place.
Or open to other suggestions - just don't want to spend the money on something first which may not do the job - so hope you guys here can help me out.
Cheers
