Retracktable Electric Timber Loft Ladder

Hi Hope somebody can help ?

Just moved into my new home, have a retractable electric loft ladder which is attached to loft hatch, loft ladder operates via a electric wall switch.
Ladder opens O.K. but does not retract fully, their is a motor attached to loft hatch with reels each side, think ladder needs a service and need instructions how the mechanics work, it is like a electric roller with pulleys.
Not explaining myself well, need to chat with someone who understands electric ladders.
Please help.

does it sound like its struggling or just stop!!!

maybe its supposed to be finnished with a pole does it have a hook or hole to use a pole in!!!

Apple - see if you can see a manufacturer's plate on the unit. Check to see if they have a website with customer support. Many of these sites have downloadable owner manuals. Also post the manufacturer's name here for accurate advice maybe.
