I just had a new bathroom with a towel rail that since installation has never worked. The installer is currently away. I got a new boiler as it was part of the plan but I thought it might help with the problem as always had to balance the radiators in that part of the house.
The pipe work above the door is at the point the return pipe is cold, all the way to the entry point to the radiator, so the left side is cold and the right hot.
The copper pipe in that very left hand corner did have a leak after installation and I was told some sort of putty had been added which swells and then hardens as to stop the leak. The leak did stop.
Could it be this leak has something to do with the return pipe not working as this is the point the return pipe is not functioning?
