i have a light switch in my kitchen which i would like to replace.currently there is a double switch operating two lights in the kitche(no other switch operates then, one switch operates one light each)firstly it is only a small kitche so is there any real need to have twoo switch's to operate two seperate lights and secondly when opening the old switch it seems to have five red wires with a shorter one looping the two switch's together.could anyone please advise the best way around this, can i put a single swith in or does it have to be the same(a double)and how would i go about this.i don't think i am totally stupid when it comes to electris but this blew my mind.Thanks.
