I particular RDM-150A. One has come up near me but I can't find much information about them. I want something a bit better than a hobby drill but don't need a full on precision unit. Anything to look out for on these or guide price for used? Thanks.

A good, solid piece of kit with a cast iron base and table - so much better than the cast aluminium stuff. I'd buy one with confidence - typical issues with these machines are wear in the bearings that hold the chuck, broken recoil springs and pulleys that have been allowed to become slack on their shafts - all of which are easy to test and rectify.
They don't make good milling machines though (with the correct vice) - they aren't man enough for machining anything other than soft alloys.
John :)
