I have just had a new carpet fitted and our lounge/diner means we have a very long piece of carpet, the fitters have left a number of small ridges towards one end (in dining room), is this normal, they said its because of the way the carpet was rolled up causes some fold creases and they should eventually iron out as it were. Is this firstly true and how long can we expect for these to go down, typically we had a problem under the floor that is somewhat masked by a ridge so no idea if they have done a good job of levelling underneath LOL!!

Yes and no! If they have not streched carpet correct they will get worse. If the carpet has a very stiff backing and they have folded it then yes they will drop out if there is enougth stretch on the carpet. They have to give you 12 months guarantee on there fitting so if they still there in a month , call them back.
