Look at 1min 24 you can see a grey haired bloke start walking in the background left to right then at 1.25 you just catch him exiting the frame to the right. There has been a big enough section cut out to completely cut out the blokes transit across the back ground.

About the same amount of time it takes the bloke in the black jacket who enters the frame from the right at 0:17 to cover that distance, 3-4 seconds. Not long enough to expound a theory about AI.

I'll tell you what pathetic is - pathetic is refusing to believe what universities, and professional writers, and editors say about the use of ellipsis in quotes because that contradicts the false narrative someone wants to be true.
Neither I, nor anybody reading your posts, gives a solitary shrivelled thrice-desiccated f ** k about the use of ellipsis in quotes.

We are not sat in a University nor are we english professors or writers,

No, we are not, but the the rules of English are the same.

I think you have to lower your expectations a bit whilst on a DIY forum.

I'm not sure how much lower they can get.

But I don't expect people presented with information from experts to say they don't believe them just because they personally don't think the rules should apply.

Oh I think you will find that there are people like that on here

Well there you go then, just accept that you was wrong and let the mods moderate. So much simpler when you accept this simple rule.

In what way was I wrong?

Try reading #308 again.

Si_ said "Neither I, nor anybody reading your posts, gives a solitary shrivelled thrice-desiccated f ** k about the use of ellipsis in quotes" and I pointed out that that is untrue.

Somebody does give a f**k, because somebody complained when Knave of Hearts used one, and some mod removed his post containing it.

If the mods removed it, then it must have been something they disagreed with you or your sidekick. Proves my point, you are not above the mods.

I didn't say I was above the mods.

I said that Si_ was wrong to claim that nobody cares about the use of an ellipsis. I pointed out that they clearly do because the use of one attracted a complaint (who would complain if nobody cared?) and the post got removed (why would the mods remove a post if they didn't care?)

So in what way was I wrong to tell Si_ his claim was false?

This punctuation rule is proven.

It doesn't become untrue because you refuse to believe it exists.
That's as maybe, but if I choose to refuse to believe it then it doesn't exist to me and that's important.

Important to you.

Of zero importance to the rest of the universe, no aspect of which will work according to your belief instead of reality.
