Knave altered quotes by another poster, he altered the quotes to change the meaning or make them look foolish, whatever. He was reported for altering quotes and the Mods deleted his post or posts (well done Mods)
Since then Knave has gone on some sort of holy crusade about how he didn't alter the meaning of quotes, merely used ellipses which is grammatically correct and places him intellectually above and beyond not just the Mod but the poster.

He got caught out, he was wrong, his rule breaking post was deleted.

If he was simply using punctuation in the way is is meant to be used, and for the purpose it is meant to be used, then his post(s) no more merited deletion than posts with commas, or full stops, or apostrophes, etc in them do.

It's not his fault if people are ignorant about the use of ellipses, and their ignorance does not mean that his post(s) broke any rules.

Unless, of course, there's a rule which says that people may not use punctuation marks which some other people don't understand.

What if a mod, because of ignorance, ruled that "holy" was a vile, foul, disgusting swear word, and deleted your post because of it, or banned you?

Stop whinging and take it up with the mods, their decision is final. They have taken the decision to remove it.
