Roof cleaning etc

My bungalow roof is covered in algae and litchen. I've been checking out other roofs and none seem as bad as mine

Noticed that some people have had their roofs cleaned and coated in some form of waterproofing and thought this might be a good idea. Not keen on having roof "painted" as some have, I would choose the clear option.

Any advice would be welcomed before I spend good money - is it worth doing, any pitfalls etc. and if anyone has had this done, what is approx price.

Thank you - I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. Decision made, I shan't bother with cleaning etc.
