Hi,

I'm looking to insulate my house, which is a 1930's semi. the roof hasn't been felted so the loft space is a tad dirty can i do something about this from inside the loft space which will insulate the house and also stop the dirt coming in i.e a material which can easily be fixed to the rafters ?

many thanks.

Ask in the roofing section although I recall the only real solution is to remove the tiles and underlay it with felt, do not be tempted with the spray on foam adverts they kill your roof.
As a temp measure you could staple trio sheet insulation over the joists as it is thin and flexible and of course insulates too.
