It looks like the roof pitch on my new extension will be 49 degrees. Getting it down to 45 degrees will compromise the design and make a number of other things awkward. Should I care?

- I'll be outside of standard span tables for rafters etc, but I can let the SE deal with that. I presume the deflection is only going to decrease anyway so it's not going to change the rafter sizing?
- My mitre saw isn't going work :(

Is anything else going to bite me on the @ss in this respect? Is there a point at which tiles are classed as vertically hanging and I'd need to fix every one with screws/nails?

Thanks

All roof tiles have been required to be individually fixed for a few years now, whatever the pitch.

Ah yes the new BS. Are roofers all mechanically fixing ridge tiles now as well as bedding them?

All interlocking tiles must be nailed, Plain tiles need to be nailed every 4th course and all perimiters.
