Hi
I have fixed all my rafters on a small lean too. I had checked the line/level of the top of them before fixing and they seemed pretty much fine. Now fixed there seem to be a few that are a few millimetres out - when I put along straight edge across there is a gap of perhaps 2-5mm at one point. Rafters are at 400mm centres and will be having 25mm x 38mm battens and concrete interlocking tiles. I assume there must be some tolerance that the battening/tiling can take up??

I'd appreciate any comments.

Thanks

Thanks Woody, but do mean the battens? The rafters are all faxed down so would be very difficult to unfix.

Packing the rafters would be easier. What have you fixed them down with?

If nails .... put the level across, bang the rafter up from below, insert a packer.

If you cant do that then you will need to pack the tile battens, but that's much more faff.

2-5mm? with a spacing of 400mm? hardly noticeable once the tiles are on.
