Finally getting somewhere with my proposed garage build. I've found someone to do the roof, I just want to check a few bits and if the prices seem ok, 55 sq m of roof, conventional apex,small barn hips, 40deg. I just need felt/batten/tile. I'm in the SW.
Tiles I'd like to use are a SIGA 114, I've been quoted £1100+vat for 55sq M worth. Decent slate+price?
I've just had someone round who was happy to price off plan and didn't "need to see it to give a price"!, As I'm supplying everything material wise, £1200 cash, thats 2 of them onsite, seem about right? They're happy to nail or clip. Whats the 'best' way?
Regarding the ridge, whats the best way to do it, wet or dry? Is it worth putting some vents in? Whats the best felt stuff to use?
