hi i have just fitted a new drayton room thermostat but it doesnt same to be controlling the room temperature radiators remining hot no matter what setting its on any ideas to fix this problem
If it is a Honeywell 3 port valve the room stat would be unlikely to give the fault described. In other words there is little to be gained by just parts changing.
Plumbing electrics is easy for me, but I have to admit to adopting your technique on my car engine management system!

If you had the fault before you changed the room stat I would definetly be questioning the mid position valve. Honeywell valves are known for letting bypass
