Room Thermostat

I have removed an old Honeywell Thermostat and have fitted a Drayton Digistat 3.

I recorded the wiring set up on the old thermostat before unwiring it.

Upon fitting the new, if the temp is moved down, it blows the fuse on the timer in the airing cupboard, which I have left on constant as noted in the instructions.

I can only think either it is not compatatable or I have recorded the wiring diagram incorrectly when removing the old thermostat.

Any suggestions

sounds like you have used a neutral connection incorrectly

Is the digistat compatable with 240v ?

nope its got a battery and is just a switch

so if it receives 240v would that make the fuse blow?

the actual stat is battery operated the reciever is 230v powered, and switches whatever voltage is applied to it from the boiler.

think your are thinking of the WIRELESS (rf1 or 2)

the digistat is the wired one

so does the Digistat (non RF) except all voltages or just voltage free?

If its only volt free and its receiving 240volts obviously it will break\melt but would it blow the fuse?

just searched and it is rated or 240 switchings, so?
