Hi all

I have got a Drayton RTS1 roomstat which I am replacing with a Sunvic TLX2259. I have taken the backplate off and the wiring is as follows...

Yellow - contact 1, Green to earth, Blue to 4, Red - 5, ( link from 5 - 3 )
I have a conventional boiler with a fully pumped system, cylinder stat, motorised valve, 24hr timer.
I am presume the green is earth, blue neutral, yellow is demand, red is live.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

Thanks[/img]

Are you sure it's not the other way around? I wouldn't take out an electronic thermostat and replace it with a mechanical one. Also the wiring you describe is relating to the Sunvic not the Drayton. That being the case, the wiring is as follows:

For the Sunvic TLX2259
Terminal 1 is the heating load (yellow)
Terminal 3 is the live supply (Red)
Terminal 4 is neutral (Blue)

For the Drayton RTS1
L is Live (red)
N is Neutral (blue)
Terminal 3 is heating load (yellow)

Which is what you had actually figured out yourself.

I thought that looked a bit odd so I checked - & concur exactly with Stem!

Hi All

Thanks for the replies, it is very much appreciated, I took off the stat a couple of weeks ago and sketched a rough diagram, I obviously have got it wrong, I want a roomstat which ranges from 5 - 30, or 3 - 30 as I aim to leave the heating on constant, during winter, but on the lowest setting, as I am away often. The lowest range on the drayton RTS1 is 10, I have been told in a previous thread to stick to a good quality named brand stat but most seem to start at 10 degrees.

Anyway thanks once again.
