Hi All

I have a rotary tool with steel 18x4.8mm collet which is wearing out and slipping.

There is a limited supply of these on eBay and they are all brass. I really want a pack of 3.2mm collets but can only find selection packs of different sizes.

Does brass or steel make a difference for collets?

Thanks

Brass probably ok for occasional use, are you talking about a dremel?

Hardened steel best, but might be better value in the long run to invest in a dremel.

They can use different sizes for the collets depending on whose knock off it is.
