Help please !!!
I've currently got company in fitting new uPVC soffits and facias. However, on removal of the barge boards from the gable end it has been found that the end timber is rotten underneath (not sure what this piece is called?).
I've been told that these will need to be replaced at a cost of £350 each (1 days work each). Is this a fair price?
Especially bearing in mind that the original quotation includes removing two rows of tiles from the gable ends and re-felting to fit the dry verge. In addition, the scaffoldfing is already in place.
Given that we're half way through the job I'm over a barrel on this. What course of action is best if in the event I am being overcharged.
