Good evening forum, hope you can assist.

New to Forum, any advice and assistance much appreciated.

Having a extension put onto my 3 bed end terrace which is being roughcasted.
As part of the project the builder is also rough casting the rest of the house. Front, gable end and rear of the existing house with the extension being to the rear.
Does the gable end require an expansion gap ?, the existing house has roughcast on with no expansion gap.
Also they have roughcasted over the expansion gap which I assume shall be chip out and filled with mastic or some sort of expansion gap filler

My neighbours have had theirs rough casted over the years with no expansion gap.

Bit confused as to wether it is actually required in my case.

Builder has sub contracted to a roughcaster who is using Powerwall render.

Any replies much appreciated
