Roughcast - cost per sq metre?

Hi all,

Anybody got an idea of the cost of roughcasting per sq metre. Need to have 2 dormas roughcast - they were rendered then painted with masonary paint but after only 6 years the render the surface has horizontal and vertical cracks appearing on the surface - nothing major but visible under the paint. It's not letting in any water but I'm worried that over the winter it may get worse - split and possibly leak.

The total area is about 25 sq metres. Its a loft conversion on a bungalo and I'm trying to get a reasonable idea of the cost to remove the render and re-roughcast the dormas.

Anyone got and ideas about possible costs?

Why not just grind out the cracks and refill - then paint?

If the substrate is ply or cement block the next attempt will probably go the same way.

Why pay big money when small money will do?
