Router Tips

i'm new to diy but we all gotta start some where i only have 2 questions for now hope someone can help
1 can anyone tell me if you can build your own dovetail jig or would i have to buy one
2 does anyone have any tips on using a router

Hi

1)Sure you could build one,but would need to be made of material that will not warp or wear - probably more cost-effective to buy one (the kits with jigs and clamps are fairly reasonable)

2)Try to get hold of a good book - I bought the Collins "good wood" series book on routers - good book,good pictures,under a tenner.
