I have a 218 deisel (j reg) which needs disks and pads haven't got round to checking what is currently on yet but have been offered vented or solid disk where ever I go.
Now assuming I have solid at the moment would there be any problems putting vented on without requiring new calipers or mods etc...? (I assume slightly thinner pads are installed hence different type than solid)
Will this help prevent future disk warp or is there some other heating factor causing the disks to fail after a year or so of use (according to former owner need replacing once every year which seems a little often to me)????
