So what do you reckon? Good choice?
They must be worried that Redknap has other skeletons in his closet. Maybe he's still being investigated or maybe he's just tainted by the tax fiddle investigation. It'll make it tough for Hodgson if the results don't go his way though.

I said this months ago, and was shot down by the scouse twins (pooey and snido). Shows you what they know!
I believe its the players that have let spuds down not there manager. I would still go for harry!
Why not do a poll? Harry, roy and jose!

It won't matter who they pick when you look at the crap they'll have to work with...

Mind you, if you want someone who can take a bunch of overpaid prima donnas and get them to beat the best footballing team around, then Di Matteo gets my vote...

Show me my quote where I said that!!

They dont want Redknapp because it will cost the FA millions to compensate Spurs, Hodgson is out of contract soon.

You think Hodgson is good enough for England????
You don't know much about footy do you?

My mistake Snico! It was pooey that said it! All you scousers sound the same!

Of course is was it your mistake, wouldnt expect anything less from someone who knows nothing about football and opens his big gob before he speaks!

Hodgson wasnt good enough for Liverpool, hence why he was sacked after 6 months. Whether he does it for England, I dont know....and I dont really care.

Handymanny, the question was...do you think he's good enough for England. Well, do you? I certainly don't, they've just gone for the usual "safe pair of hands" least controversial as usual. Much like snico, I don't really care.

If you look at what i wrote "hes supposedly good enough for england". Thats when you piped up that he wont be england manager! i never said he should be!
I would try and get the special one, end of!!
Although Hodgson probably would have finished higher than kenny if he was still there, but you didnt give him a chance!
You two have enough to worry about with the state of your team, than to care about the national team.
Nandos not doing to bad now is he?

They could make Anne Widdicombe the manager for all the difference it will make, it used to be an honour to play for your country, now they see it as a nuisance, due to the risk of injury and potential loss of earnings, or maybe they'd rather be on holiday.

For me a very very poor choice......the expectations have been lowered now over cautious woy has been given the job...but frankly my dear I dont give a damn

Yet another p*ss poor appointment to add to the long list.

The only consolation being... at least he's English.

Hodgons didn't do any worse at Liverpool in the league than Kenny D.

He had to go because Daglish manouvered him out. If results alone were the issue, then why didn't Daglsih get teh boot when his points per game got worse than Hodgson?

Previous Poeple's choices for England included Kevein Keegan, and we know how that worked out.

Hodgson will do a good job, he is a good manager and a good coach .... and costs less.

I would have been happy with Redknapp too, but at least the choice was between two English men. England need an intelligent coach , not one that relies on that 'motivation' nonsense

It was the fans and club that got him out, not Dalglish.

Hodgson took on a job and club too big for him. His away record in the premiership before he took over at Liverpool was one of the worst on record!

He won 12 games away from home in his premiership managerial career!!!!
