Rsj not pushed up tight

Hi I've had a knock through done.
Problem is I don't think it's been pushed up tight enough an upstairs seems to be a few cracks appearing meaning wall may have settled down a bit. Wondering is it possible to take out an push it up tighter to joists. It's been on steel for a month.

I'm not a builder so seek further advice but my question is;

Can you re insert some acro's to try and lift the rsj, (probably cause a bit more cracking), then tightly pack some slates under the beam?
